Company sponsored after hours party and served alcohol to its employees; party moved to neighborhood bar where intoxicated employee is served more alcohol to the point of falling down and vomiting. He later drives car into rear of a parked truck severely injuring passenger who required multiple surgeries to address: Lumbar spine - L4 burst fracture and L4-5 fracture subluxation injuries, comminuted fracture of right leg, broken jaw and facial injuries.

Electrician injured in commercial customer’s motor control room while replacing a transducer and a current transformer in low voltage control panel “bucket” when he sustained burns as a result of an explosive electrical arc induced flash fire. A 480 volt live wire had been re-positioned outside the pre-manufactured track on the back of the bucket during previous work by the customer’s technicians such that it was contacted when the apprentice used the pre-drilled screw hole(s) provided by the manufacturer to fasten down the transducer. This condition constituted a hidden danger that could not be discovered in the exercise of ordinary care. Burns to face, arms, hands, abdomen and legs required skin grafts - residual disfigurement.
